Breda Game Week 2023

We are excited to announce that Breda will host the very first Game Week for a domestic and international audience.
This extraordinary event is a collaborative effort between Playgrounds, Breda Game City, Dynasty, BUAS, St. Joost School of Art & Design, and the City of Breda.
Together, we have curated a comprehensive program designed to showcase the dynamic and ever-evolving landscape of the video gaming industry.

Breda, with its’ rich gaming history dating back to the early 2000s, is home to approximately 3,000 students dedicated to game-related studies.
Moreover, the BUAS Creative Media and Game Technologies program proudly holds the global ranking of #3, according to GAMEducation 2022.
In 2024, the Municipality of Breda in cooperation with Buas and the Province of Noord-Brabant, will start a 10,9 million Euro funded 4-year program which will be focused on education & research, community building, venture building for game studio start-ups and scale-ups and establishing a video game Development Center in the city of Breda.
